1940’s Suit, Wool, Grey, by ‘Daks England for Myer Stores’, size M
This was tailored in London exclusively for Myer stores in Adelaide and Melbourne, they opened the first store in Bendigo in 1900.
For the age of this suit, almost 60 years, it is great. It has been dry-cleaned.
The jacket is fully lined and in excellent condition. The chest, waist, and hips are 43″, the length is 30.5″ and the shoulder span is 17″.
The trousers are expandable with buttons, they start at 34″ and can be 36″ once you move the buttons. The length is 41.5″ to the bottom of the cuff. There are a few tiny holes, but these have been mended.
In the gallery photos you can see just one way to accessorize it, with a shirt, tie, perhaps a waistcoat, a trilby hat, braces, and a scarf, give it a gangster vibe, none of these items are included.
