Description
1940’s, Crepe Day Dress, lavender, lace bodice, handmade, size 14. It does actually measure, accordingly to our general size chart, to be a size 16, however, we are allowing for shrinkage. That being said, we have just freshly washed her, so the initial shrinkage that occurs with crepe when you first wash it, has already occurred with us. To keep the dress in perfect condition from now on though, we recommend dry cleaning.
The shoulders have ever so slightly faded, but it is barely noticeable, so for this reason she is priced a little lower than usual for a dress from the 40’s. The original belt is missing.
Bust is fully lined and measures 110cm, waist is 44cm, hips are 110cm and length is 99cm.
Pop a half slip under the skirt, as we have done in this photo shoot, it will help the gorgeous fabric to glide comfortably, but is still lovely without one.
