Description
1950’s House Coat, Floral Print, Cotton, by ‘Models Coat’, size 24-26
In the 50’s, ladies were great homemakers, but they always wanted to, or needed to (very sexist) present themselves as perfect. In the sense that she was expected to be flawless in her appearance. With that said, along came the invention of the ‘House Coat’, worn over their regular clothing, to keep it clean, while they did the household chores, just in case their husband came home early, or neighbours dropped in. Well, here is an adorable one, freshly laundered, in excellent condition and oh so pretty. It has 2 front pockets and all the press studs are present and working.
In the gallery, I cinched in the waist with a belt, to show you, if you wanted to, it could even be worn as dress.
In a flat lay, the bust is 132cm, waist is 14ocm, hips are 150cm and the length is 105cm.
