1930’s, Original Blouse, navy print, by ‘Hicks Atkinson of Melbourne’, rayon, size S
This Australian designer had a store in Collins street, in Melbourne, and it was a very successful and reputable company who produced garments that were not only fashionable for the era, but exquisitely tailored.
This blouse is one example, with delicate bake-light buttons and soft rayon fabric. It can be worn bloused at the waist or down to the hips.
Freshly laundered and in excellent condition. The was one tiny thread bare section, but it has now been mended and looks great.
The bust is 94cm, the waist is 90cm, the hips are 90cm too when stretched out, it is elastic here, the length when worn straight down is 55cm.
